How to use Polycell 3 in 1 Problem Wall Primer
1. Ensure surface is dry and free from loose material. Rub down gloss surfaces.
2. It’s a good idea to touch-in nails and screw heads with oil-based paint. Ensure all wiring is insulated, too.
3. Mix 2-2½ parts Polycell Plaster Repair Polyfilla Powder with 1 part water and stir to a smooth consistency.
4. Wet the repair area thoroughly – it’ll help the mixture to stick better.
5. Apply the filler with a filling knife, trowel, or float. Use upward sweeping strokes, maintaining good, even pressure.
6. If the gap you’re filling is more than 50mm deep, apply the filler in layers, allowing each layer to dry before applying the next one.
7. Gently smooth off with a clean, wet float, cleaning and wetting as required
8. Once the surface is firm but before it dries hard, re-wet and polish with a clean float for a smooth finish.
9. Allow to dry for at least 24 hours (or several days for deeper repairs).
10. Store any unused Polycell Plaster Repair Polyfilla Powder in dry conditions.
11. Wash hands after use and wash tools in warm water.
