4. Pour Polycell Maximum Strength Paint Stripper into a glass or metal container or the cap provided—do not use it in plastic containers.

5. Dab generously onto the surface with a brush, working into any rapidly appearing blisters.

6. Re-apply after 5 minutes, working into any further blisters that appear.

7. Leave for 5 to 15 minutes (DO NOT ALLOW TO DRY), scraping at intervals to see if the paint is ready to peel away.

8. Remove with a stripping knife or shave hook, using a stiff brush or coarse wire wool to scrub out any difficult corners.

9. Re-apply after 5 minutes, working into any further blisters that appear.

10. Repeat until no paint or varnish is left on the surface.

11. If there’s any paint or varnish that seems to be ingrained in the wood, try using a coarse wire wool dipped in Polycell Maximum Strength Paint Stripper.

12. Rub down the treated area with soapy water and allow it to dry thoroughly.

13. Use white spirit if you wish to avoid raising the grain of the wood.

14. Collect waste in newspaper, leave it in a safe location outdoors to dry, and dispose of it safely in a dustbin.

15. Do not empty into drains or water course. Only store this wood stripping product in the container. Clean all tools in soapy water, avoiding contact with plastic baths or sinks.
