Step by step process

Step 1
First scrape out any loose filler or pointing materials and brush away the debris. Make sure that the wood is properly protected by varnish or wood stain.

Polycell Squeeze & Seal comes in a special malleable pack that you simply squeeze to apply the right amount of sealant - no more struggling with wasteful cartridge guns! Cut the nozzle of the pack at a 45 degree angle to make a suitable width seal, and then run a continuous bead along to fill the gap.

Step 3
Smooth off neatly with a round ended stick or similar and wipe away any excess with a damp cloth before it dries. The finished effect will make you glad you chose precisely the right product for the task.
