How to treat patches of mould around window frames

Steam and condensation has caused an unsightly black mould to develop around the edges of window frames.

Step by step process

    Cover furniture and carpets, and keep windows and doors fully open to ensure good ventilation during the application and drying processes.

    Always wear safety glasses and protective gloves. Spray product onto affected areas, once the surface is thoroughly wetted, wipe away the mould with a sponge or cloth.

    If the mould is growing through a layer of wallpaper, strip back to the bare wall and treat with two applications.

  4. Step 4

    Step 4

    The treated area can be repainted or papered once dry. There's no need to wash down the surface, as the residue that's left behind protects against regrowth.
