Step by step process

  1. Step 1

    Step 1

Remove any old sealant by painting on Polycell Sealant Remover and leaving the area to dry for 10 - 15 minutes. The old sealant will now be soft and malleable enough to remove.

  2. Step 2

    Step 2

Fill the bath with water this will maximise the gap and then ensure the edge is clean, dry and free from mould.

  3. Step 3

    Step 3

Remove the tip of the cartridge carefully with a sharp knife and screw on the nozzle. Next, remove the cap, carefully cut the top from the nozzle to the required width, insert the cartridge into a sealant gun and press the trigger. Youre now ready to seal!

  4. Step 4

    Step 4

Apply the sealant to the gap in a continuous line try to do it in one smooth movement. Once complete and within 10 minutes of application smooth the sealant using a wet, round-ended tool, or even with a wetted fingertip for ease. For best results, shape the sealant or bead at an angle as this will help shed water.

  5. Step 5

    Step 5

Remove any excess sealant with white spirit before it dries, then leave to cure for 24 hours before using the bath.
