Step by step process

Step 1
First put on your safety glasses and begin by brushing away any loose material.

Make up the filler with water with 3 parts filler to 1 part water and mix to a smooth paste.

Step 3
Moisten the surface to be filled with water, then apply filler with a trowel or a knife, working it well into the repair to ensure a good bond.

Step 4
Level off before the filler starts to set - usually in about five minutes.

Step 5
For a no-show repair, paint the step with a suitable paint for exterior use (alkali resistant).
