Part of your external wall has gone mouldy and so you want to remove the mould, and stop it from returning.
You will need
Step by step process
-
Step 1
Wait for a dry, non-windy day and protect any nearby flowers and foliage from overspray by covering them with a dust sheet or plastic sheeting.
-
Step 2
If the mould is growing through a layer of paint, strip back to bare masonry.
-
Step 3
Wearing gloves and eye protection, twist the trigger nozzle to 'on' and spray onto the affected area until it is thoroughly wetted - try to avoid the liquid from running-off onto other areas.
-
Step 4
Wait for the area to dry, and then brush off the mould using a stiff brush.
-
Step 5
A second application may be required a few days later. Once you are happy that all of the mould has been removed, rinse the surface well and leave to dry.
-
Step 6
Once thoroughly dry, the wall can now be painted if required. A final light coat of spray can be applied 14 days later for added protection against re-growth.
