Central heating has caused most of the wooden skirtings in my home to shrink slightly, causing unsightly cracks all along their top edges. Being flexible, Flexible Gap Polyfilla bonds strongly and moves with the wood, giving a long lasting and professional finished effect that will make you glad you chose the best product for the task.
You will need
Step by step process
-
Step 1
First scrape away any old filler or flaking paint and vacuum away the debris.
-
Step 2
Next, apply Flexible Gap Polyfilla straight from the pack, pushing the filler along the gap to ensure that it is properly applied and create a good bond.
-
Step 3
Use a wet rounded tool (and old wooden spoon is ideal) to smooth the surface and remove any excess. Then leave to dry. Flexible Gap Polyfilla can be left as a perfect repair or can be sanded and overpainted.
