Not sure when your filler is ready to sand

Fix it with:
Use Polycell Multi-Purpose Magic Polyfilla

It changes colour as it dries - removing the need to prod and poke the area to check if it’s dry.

You can do it:
Fill imperfections with the pink ready-mixed formulation, and it turns white when it’s ready to sand and paint.
