Covering wall imperfections prior to decorating

Problem:
I want to paint my living room but the walls have hairline cracks, filled areas and other minor imperfections.

Fix it with:
BaseCoat

You can do it:
Polycell BaseCoat is a paint-like product but contains elastomeric polymers which enables it to bridge over hairline cracks and wall imperfections and prevent them reappearing. It will cover both painted and filled areas removing any differences in porosity and will also cover over strong colours from previous paintwork.

Firstly, your walls need to be prepared if there are any cracks larger than hairline, any holes should be filled and loose or flaking paint removed. Large areas of new plaster should, as normal, be prepared by sealing first. Next, decant BaseCoat from its pack into a roller tray and with a roller (we recommend a short pile roller for best results) simply roller on to the walls, like an emulsion paint.

BaseCoat can be applied by brush for cutting in around light fittings and along skirtings and other edges. Leave to dry for 4 to 6 hours, depending on conditions, then apply your favourite Dulux colour to produce the perfect ambience!
